BARANY’ ROCKS

The natural monument of the Barany’ Rocks (Sheep rocks) at the Studyonaya River is the rock outcrop. The picturesque mountain landscape was formed in the result of water and atmosphere phenomena influences which caused the unique relief forms resembling the sheep foreheads with crumpled horns.

The Barany’ Rocks are located in the Studyonaya River head, at the right bank, in the Sheep brook mouth. The right bank of the Sheep brook and the Studyonaya River are also a place of mountain sheep habitat. There is no vegetation on the rocks. Only in the mouth of the Sheep brook the narrow area is covered by cedar elfin wood.
