It is the most difficult tour presented on our website. Its primary goal is the ascent of the highest volcano of Eurasia - Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4750 m). It is situated in the central part of the peninsula and this name belong to a group of 14 volcanoes - the largest concentration of volcanic edifices on Kamchatka. Their gigantic sizes, close-packed arrangement on the comparatively small area and strongly marked volcanic activity confer them individuality and uniqueness, and also attract scientists and tourists from all over the world.

Other majestic volcanoes are situated in close vicinity to Klyuchevskaya Sopka. This is extinct Kamen volcano (4575 m), the most difficult for ascent volcano on the peninsula and the second in height. The most thick and extended glaciers of Kamchatka descend from the summits of Ushkovsky (3943 m) and Krestovskiy (4057 m) volcanoes.

Day 1: Paratunka / Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Meeting at the airport of Elizovo. Transfer and accommodation at the recreation base of Paratunka or hotel of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Overnight staying – hotel. Breakfast (B)/Lunch (L)/Dinner (D) -/-/-

Day 2: / Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Kozyrevsk Settlement

Transfer (about 8-10 hours) by a cross-country automobile to Kozyrevsk. Accommodation at the guesthouse of the settlement. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D

Day 3: Kozyrevsk – Crater Perevalny

Helicopter transfer to the crater Perevalny that is situated between the volcanoes Ushkovsky and Klyuchevskaya Sopka at height of 2700 m. Tent camp setting (Camp 1). Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D

Day 4: Crater Perevalny – Volcanologists' pass

Walking (about 4-5 hours) to the Volcanologists’ pass that is situated between the volcanoes Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano and Kamen volcano at a height of 3300 m. Tent camp setting (Camp 2). Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D

Day 5: Kluchevskaya Sopka

The ascent (8-10 hours) of the southern slope of Klyuchevskaya Sopka. The descent (5-7 hours) to Camp 2. Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D

Day 6: Volcanologists' pass

Reserved day in case of bad weather. Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D

Day 7: Volcanologists' pass – Crater Perevalny

Walking (about 4 hours) to the crater Perevalny. Tent camp setting (Camp 3).
Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D

Day 8: Crater Perevalny – Camp 4

Walking (about 6 hours) to the height of 1900 m. Tent camp setting (Camp 4).
Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D

Day 9: Camp 4 – Studienaya River

Walking (about 6 hours) to the Studyenaya river. Tent camp setting (Camp 5) at a height of 1300 m. Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D

Day 10: River Studienaya – Kozyrevsk Settlement

Walking (about 6 hours) to the Sopka Kopyto, then transfer (3 hours) by a cross-country automobile to Kozyrevsk and accommodation at the guesthouse of the settlement. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D

Day 11: Kozyrevsk Settlement - Paratunka

Automobile transfer (8 hours) and accommodation at the recreation base of Paratunka.
Overnight staying – hotel. B/L/-

Day 12: Transfer to the airport

2 600 EUR – for one person for group of 5 people

The tour includes the following expenses:

  • accommodation in hotels and huts
  • automobile movement along the entire route
  • helicopter transfer to 2700 m
  • meal: Breakfast (B)/Lunch (L)/Dinner (D)
  • group support services on the route (english-speaking guide, guide assistant)
  • visa support
  • transfer from the airport and to the airport

Additional costs relating to transportation, food and accommodation arising from the unforeseen consequence are not included in the cost.

The ascent of Klyuchevskoy volcano can pose hazard to life because of its high volcanic activity, the presence of rockslides and rockfalls.

The participants must have good physical training and endurance. All common outfit and food products are equally distributed among all participants of the tour including officers of the firm. Weight of common load per person does not exceed 8 kilograms per person. All participants of the tour take part in cooking and tent setting. The basis of meal is composed of special sublimate products.
