It is the most difficult tour presented on our website. Its primary goal is the ascent of the highest volcano of Eurasia - Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4 820 m). It is situated in the central part of the peninsula and this name belong to a group of 14 volcanoes - the largest concentration of volcanic edifices on Kamchatka. Their gigantic sizes, close-packed arrangement on the comparatively small area and strongly marked volcanic activity confer them individuality and uniqueness, and also attract scientists and tourists from all over the world.

Other majestic volcanoes are situated in close vicinity to Klyuchevskaya Sopka. This is extinct Kamen volcano (4575 m), the most difficult for ascent volcano on the peninsula and the second in height. The most thick and extended glaciers of Kamchatka descend from the summits of Ushkovsky (3 943 m) and Krestovskiy (4 057 m) volcanoes.

Day 1: Paratunka

Meeting at the airport of Elizovo. Transfer and accommodation at the recreation base of Paratunka.

Day 2: Paratunka - Kozyrevsk Settlement

Automobile transfer (500 km) to Kozyrevsk lasts about 8 hours. Accomodation - the hotel of the settlement.

Day 3: Kozyrevsk Settlement - Crater Perevalny

Helicopter transfer to the crater Perevalny that is situated between the volcanoes Ushkovsky and Klyuchevskaya Sopka at height of 2700 m. Tent camp setting (Camp 1).

Day 4: Crater Perevalny

Reserved day in case of bad weather.

Day 5: Crater Perevalny - Ushkovsky Volcano

Climbing (5-7 hours) Ushkovsky volcano. The descent (3-4 hours) to Camp 1.

Day 6: Crater Perevalny - Volcanologists' pass

Walking (about 5-6 hours) to the Volcanologists’ pass that is situated between the volcanoes Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano and Kamen («Stone») volcano at a height of 3300 m. Tent camp setting (Camp 2).

Day 7: Volcanologists' pass - Kluchevskaya Sopka

The ascent (8-10 hours) of the southern slope of Klyuchevskaya Sopka. The descent (5-7 hours) to Camp 2.

Day 8: Volcanologists' pass

Reserved day in case of bad weather.

Day 9: Volcanologists' pass - Crater Perevalny

Walking (about 4 hours) to the crater Perevalny. Tent camp setting (Camp 3).

Day 10: Crater Perevalny - Studienaya River

Walking (about 8 hours) to the Studyenaya («Frozen») river. Tent camp setting (Camp 4) at a height of 1300 m.

Day 11: River Studienaya - Kozyrevsk Settlement

Walking (about 6 hours) to the hill Kopyto and automobile transfer (about 3 hours) to Kozyrevsk. Accomodation - the hotel of the settlement.

Day 12: Kozyrevsk Settlement - Paratunka

Automobile transfer (8 hours) and accommodation at the recreation base of Paratunka.

Day 13: Transfer to the airport

2 200 EUR – for one person for group of 6 people

1 800 EUR – for one person for group of 8 people

1 500 EUR – for one person for group of 10 people

The tour includes the following expenses:

  • accommodation at the recreation base of Paratunka, in the hotels of the settlement Kozyrevsk and Kluchi;
  • automobile transfer all over the route;
  • helicopter transfer to Volcanologists' pass;
  • meal, except for days of staying on the recreation base Paratunka;
  • medical insurance for an accident;
  • accompanying and common tourist outfit service;
  • transfer from the airport and to the airport.

Additional costs relating to transportation, food and accommodation arising from the unforeseen consequence are not included in the cost.

The ascent of Klyuchevskoy volcano can pose hazard to life because of its high volcanic activity, the presence of rockslides and rockfalls.

The participants must have good physical training and endurance. All common outfit and food products are equally distributed among all participants of the tour including officers of the firm. Weight of common load per person does not exceed 10 kilograms per person. All participants of the tour take part in cooking and tent setting. The basis of meal is composed of special sublimate products.
