We would like to offer you tour to the extraordinary by its beauty Kuril Lake, where you are to watch Kamchatka brown bear and spawning salmon. It is the Kuril Lake that is inhabited by the largest population of brown bear in the world and where from 3 to 10 million of red salmons (kind of salmon) spawn every year.
Another sight of the tour is the Plosky Tolbachik Volcano (3085 m). Its top is a mountain plateau covered with snow with a giant crater in diameter 1700-1800 m and 450-500 m. deep. Nearby there can be met bright red volcanic cones, lava flows of odd form, scoria field, areas covered with Dead Forest. You will see the consequences of grandiose Eruptions of 1975-76 and 2012-13. Unusual landscape of this area makes an impression of supernatural scenery.
This tour also includes excursion to the foot of the volcanoes Avachinsky (2741 m) and Кoryaksky (3456 m) as well as ascent the active volcano Gorely (1829 m).
Day 1: Elizovo – Apachinskie springs
Meeting at the airport of Elizovo. Transfer (about 2 hrs.) by a cross-country automobile and accommodation at the hotel of Apachinskie Springs. Overnight staying – hotel. Meal: -/-/D
Day 2: Apachinskie springs – Pauzhetka
Transfer (6-8 hrs.) to Pauzhetka settlement. On the way, ferry crossing of rivers Bolshaya, Opala and Koshegochek. Recreation on the hot springs. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D
Day 3: Pauzhetka – Kuril Lake
Transfer (about 30 min.) to the Ozernaya river, then walking (12 km) to the Kuril Lake. On the way, viewing Кutkh's Boats. Accommodation in a specially tent camp (Camp 1) that is protected by electric fence. Viewing bears and spawning salmon. Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D
Day 4: Kurile Lake
Viewing bears and spawning salmon. Excursion in the boats over the lake. Returning to the Camp 1. Overnight staying – tents. B/L/D
Day 5: Kurile Lake – Paratunka
Viewing bears and spawning salmon, then helicopter transfer to Paratunka. On the way, excursion* in the caldera of the Ksudach Volcano and bathing in the Khodutkinskie Hot Springs. Accommodation at the hotel of Paratunka. Overnight staying – hotel. B/L/-
*Landing on the Ksudach Volcano and Khodutkinskie Hot Springs is made only in case of good weather conditions
DAY 6: Gorely volcano
Тransfer (about 3 hrs) by a cross-country automobile to the caldera of Gorely Volcano. The ascent of the Gorely Volcano takes about 2,5 hrs. Viewing craters – 1,5 hrs. The descent – 1,5 hrs. Returning (about 3 hrs) by vehicle to Paratunka. Overnight staying – hotel. B/L/-
Day 7: Verblyud mountain
Morning transfer (about 2 hrs) by a cross-country automobile to the area of the volcanic plateau between the volcanoes Avachinsky and Кoryaksky. Hiking* (3-4 hrs.) to the Verblyud Mountain. Returning (about 3 hrs) by vehicle to Paratunka. Overnight staying – hotel. B/L/-
*Depending on the group desires, this day may be used for climbing the Avachinsky Volcano. The ascent to volcano – 5-6 hrs. Viewing the crater – 1 hr. The descent – 3-4 hrs.
Day 8: Paratunka – Kozyrevsk Settlement
Transfer (8-10 hrs) by a cross-country automobile to Kozyrevsk. Accommodation at the guesthouse of the settlement. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D
Day 9: Kozyrevsk – North Break – Dead forest
Transfer (4-5 hrs.) to the southern part of the foot of the Tolbachik Volcano. Viewing the cones of the North Break and Dead Forest, destroyed by burning hot ashes outburst resulting from the powerful Eruption of 1975-76. Accommodation at the huts of our base in Dead Forest. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D
Day 10: eruption of 2012-13
Transfer about 40 min. to the Sopka Kleshnya. Hiking* about 4-5 hrs. of the cones, lava flows and caves formed in the result of the grandiose Eruption of 2012-13. Returning to the Dead Forest by vehicle. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D
*Depending on the group desires, this day may be used for ascent to the crater of Plosky Tolbachik Volcano. The ascent takes about 6 hrs. The descent to Sopka Kleshnya – 4-5 hrs.
Day 11: Dead forest – Kozyrevsk Settlement
Transfer and accommodation at the guesthouse of the settlement. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D
Day 12: Kozyrevsk – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Transfer and accommodation at the hotel of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Overnight staying – hotel. B/L/-
Day 13: Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Day of rest. On this day you can take one of the following excursions: to Valley of Geysers, sightseeing tour around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or boat trip (about 12 hrs) to Russkaya Bay. Overnight staying – hotel. B/-/-
Day 14: Transfer to the airport

Please note that delivery from the Kuril lake is performed by a helicopter and directly depends upon weather conditions. Flight may be delayed for several hours or even several days. That’s why we inform you that route’s schedule may be modified because of the weather. In this case the guide makes modification in the itinerary.
As the tour’s participants are going to walk through the especially preserved territory they must follow the behavior rules on the reserved territory and safety instructions which will be given to them by the preserve’s keepers and a guide.
The participants of this tour are to be ready for long automobile transfers along forestry and gravel road of bad quality.
