On this tour you will have a unique opportunity to fly around the Klyuchevskaya Group of Volcanoes, which has 4 active and 10 extinct volcanoes. The main program of the tour includes viewing the grandiose fissure eruptions of the Plosky Tolbachik Volcano, where you will see bright red cones, frozen volcanic bombs and lava flows of bizarre shapes, cinder fields of various colors, and a Dead Forest. And all this surrounded by majestic and unpredictable volcanoes! The unusual landscape in the area of the Tolbachik Volcano creates the impression of an extraterrestrial landscape and is rightfully compared to the lunar one. The first Soviet lunar rovers were tested here.

From Tolbachik Volcano you will take a helicopter flight to the famous Valley of Geysers, where one of the largest geyser fields in the world locates, and also visit the caldera of Uzon Volcano. There are many boiling and seething funnels, numerous mud pots and mud volcanoes, yellow fumarole fields, floating areas with steam and hot water outlets.

A special feature of the tour is that you will visit hard-to-reach places in Kamchatka using a helicopter and this will save you from a grueling ten-hour car journey along a forest road.

Day 1: Paratunka / Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Meeting at the airport of Elizovo. Transfer and accommodation at the recreation base of Paratunka or hotel of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Overnight staying – hotel. Meal: -/-/-

Day 2: Paratunka / Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Kozyrevsk Settlement

Transfer (8-10 hrs.) by a cross-country automobile to Kozyrevsk. Accommodation at the hotel of the settlement. Overnight staying – hotel. B/L/D

Day 3: Kozyrevsk – Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes – Dead forest

Transfer (10 min or 40 min) to the heliport of the village of Kozyrevsk or Mayskoye. Flight around the Klyuchevskaya Group of Volcanoes, during which you will see the volcanoes Klyuchevskaya Sopka, Kamen, Bezymyanny, Ushkovsky, Krestovsky, Ovalnaya and Ostryaya Zimina, Plosky and Ostry Tolbachik, Bolshaya and Malaya Udina. Landing near the Studyenaya river canyon or Polennitsa Mountain. Next, fly to the southern slope of the Tolbachik Volcano and accommodation in houses (double or twin) at the base in the Dead Forest. Day 4: North Break – Dead forest

Viewing the cones of the North Break and Dead Forest, destroyed by burning hot ashes outburst resulting from the powerful Eruption of 1975-76. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D

Day 5: Plosky Tolbachik volcano

Transfer about 40 min to the Sopka Kleshnya. Hiking* about 4-5 hrs. of the cones, lava flows and caves formed in the result of the grandiose Eruption of 2012-13. Returning to the Dead Forest by vehicle. Overnight staying – huts. B/L/D

*Depending on the group desires, this day may be used for ascent to the crater of Plosky Tolbachik Volcano. The ascent takes about 6 hrs. The descent to Sopka Kleshnya – 4-5 hrs.

Day 6: Valley of Geysers – caldera of the Uzon volcano - Paratunka

Helicopter departure from the base in the Dead Forest to the Valley of Geysers. During the flight (about 1 hour) - inspection of Kronotsky Lake, Kizimen, Krasheninnikova and Kronotskaya Sopka volcanoes. Landing in the Valley of Geysers and excursion (about 1.5 hours) around the Valley. In terms of beauty, majesty of the landscape and the number of springs throwing out fountains of hot water and steam, it has no equal. Flight (10 min) and landing in the caldera of the Uzon Volcano . This is a giant depression measuring 9x12 km, formed as a result of the destruction of an ancient volcano, at the bottom of which hydrothermal activity is very pronounced. Inspection (about 1 hour) of the main geothermal manifestations in the caldera of the Uzon Volcano. Next flight (about 1 hour) to the village Milkovo and transfer (about 4-5 hours) to Paratunka or Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Overnight staying – hotel. B/L/-

Day 7: Paratunka / Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Day of rest. On this day you can take one of the following excursions: to Kuril Lake, volcanoes Gorely or Avachinsky, as well as a boat trip to Russkaya Bay. Overnight staying – hotel. B/-/-

Day 8: Transfer to the airport

The cost of the tour does not include expenses for accommodation and meals arising as a result of changes in its program, as well as excursions to the Kuril Lake, to the Gorely or Avachinsky volcanoes, to Russkaya Bay

This tour is designed in such a way as to see as many attractions as possible in Klyuchevsky Park and from there take an excursion to the Valley of Geysers. That is why helicopters are involved in the tour, and each specific flight depends on current weather conditions. You must be prepared for delays, rescheduling and cancellations. In this regard, a situation is possible when helicopter transportation from the village Kozyrevsk to the tourist base in the Dead Forest will be replaced by a car road. Please note that movement in the area of the fissure eruptions of the Tolbachik Volcano (the fourth and fifth days of the tour) is in any case carried out by car.
