ESSO

The national village in the middle of Kamchatka is the best place to get acquainted with the life of Kamchatka native residents. It is real exotics for the lovers of the ethnographic tourism.

Esso is also called "Kamchatka Switzerland" for the landscape similarity. In the native language Esso means "larch". The village is surrounded by evergreen forests, cliffs and mountain ridges. There are two clean mountain rivers not far from the village - the Uksichan and the Fast. Right beyond the village there are hot thermal springs with the temperature of 44o C. The whole village is heated by the thermal water only. Due to the thermal springs the local residents cultivate even south fruits and vegetables which cannot grow in Kamchatka. There is a big open pool with thermal water in the middle of the village.
